Two pathways for school
Campus based
o Clerkship last year
o 8 five week rotations
o 4 of which must be in the Omaha/Lincoln NE area
o 2 can be international
o Before school starts, there is an initial 5 day orientation
o Students have access to online lectures that web base students use
Web based
Clerkship is in home area
Trisemester, course load is lighter 12-15 hours
2 weeks each summer is spent on campus in NE to do an intense, 12 hour a day, crash course for all the science labs; housing is provided
Before school starts, there is an initial 6 day orientation
Use blackboard
Students often have online chats with each other and organize study sessions together online, so it’s not completely independent
All lectures are done online; some professors use power points, others use videos or digital recordings of lecture
Tests are taken at specific testing centers throughout the valley for Az students

Both campus base and web base students get a laptop as part of their tuition to use. After two years students get a new laptop and have the option of buying their first one, or giving it back. At the end of the 4th year, students again have the option of buying their laptop or giving it back. The price they buy their laptop at is discounted incredibly.
Former ASU student and now 1st year student of Creighton University, Scott Pincus spoke to us about being a pharmacy student. He attends Creighton through their online program. If you have any questions that Scott may be able to answer for you, please email him at scottpincus@yahoo.com
