OFFICERS
President Schedules meeting rooms, prepares agendas, leads chapter and officer meetings; represents chapter to external organizations
Vice President Assumes responsibilities of President in case of absence; chairs Volunteer committee
Treasurer Chairs the Fundraising committee to build chapter scholarship endowment
Secretary Keeps and distributes meeting notes, tracks service points (attendance, etc)
Webmaster Manage chapter web site

Social Cmte Coordinates social events, specifically the Reading Day Social and the new member welcome
Membership Cmte Educates potential members about the benefits of joining PES - ALD and organizes the induction ceremony

Committees

For 2005-06 and beyond, we've adding officers and opportunities for involvement! The leadership team is above, and YOU can still make your mark by serving on one of the committees below and/or participating in upcoming activities! Check the calendar and/or contact an officer/chair above!

  • Scholarship: Screen local applications to select national scholarship nominees; create system for local scholarships.
  • Volunteer: Organize at least three group service projects each semester, plus individual opportunities.
  • Membership: Organize fall info session prior to induction to educate invited students about PES, and organize the induction ceremony.
  • Social: Plan end of the semester study breaks, new member welcome and other socials.
  • Fundraising: Organize at least one scholarship fundraiser per semester.
  • Conference: Activated as needed to coordinate our participation in national and Western regional PES gatherings.
