ADOPT A MILDCAT! Thank you for considering adopting one of our cats or kittens. All of our cats and kittens are rescued from the Arizona State University Campus and surrounding areas. Cats and kittens that are socialized are fostered and put up for adoption. All of our cats and kittens receive vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. You may view the cats and kittens we have available for adoption at our Petfinder¹ page. If you find a potential new family member, please complete our adoption questionnaire² or call the number listed in the Petfinder ad. Even if you do not see a cat or kitten that you would adopt now, we encourage you to fill out our adoption questionnaire since we may have a cat or kitten that is not yet listed. Mildcats At ASU charges an adoption fee to help cover the cost of spaying or neutering, vaccinations, boarding, food and other medical costs. The current adoption fee is only $50, but any amount over the suggested fee is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible. Special Note: We discourage students, living in on-campus dormitories, from adopting cats or kittens because often a student' s lifestyle and future is unstable and a situation may arise where the continued care of a pet is not long-term. Instead, students are encouraged to raise awareness of pet overpopulation problems and educate the public on humane issues. Anyone interested in helping out should contact us. Please see our Resources section for links and articles. Our featured Petfinder Mildcat is NORMAN.
NOTE¹: "Petfinder is an on-line, searchable database of animals that need homes. It is also a directory of over 7,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Organizations maintain their own home pages and available pet database." -- Petfinder.com NOTE²: This questionnaire does not represent a contract. By completing this form, you are providing information for the initial screening process. When your questionnaire is processed, a Mildcat member will determine if you and the cat you wish to adopt are a good match, and will contact you to discuss your interest in adopting this cat. If the adoption is approved, you will be asked to provide the above information, and possibly additional information, in the form of a written contract.
