On-Campus Housing:

Not many students prefer staying in on-campus housing facilities, as they are costly.

Off-Campus Housing:

Generally most of the Indian students stay in off-campus apartments. There are good and affordable apartments available in the close vicinity of the university. The average cost of the off campus housing comes out to be between $180-250$.

There are three kinds of apartments that are available:

One-bedroom apartments $550-$750/month
2-3 people
Two bedroom apartments $800-$1200/month
4 people
Studios $450-$600
1 person

* Generally 4 people take 2-bedroom apartment because it turns out to be cheaper.

The rents of the apartments vary depending on whether they are furnished or not. The furnished apartments have furniture in them, which includes a couch, beds, a dining table, desks, chairs etc. All the apartments have a refrigerator and a cooking range and are centrally air-conditioned and carpeted.

We recommend University Properties as a safe and friendly Apartments.

Most of the apartments available are at a 10 minutes walking distance from the university. Visit the following links to check the various apartment complexes around the university and get their addresses..

East Campus Students

Most of the East Campus students stay along with the Main Campus students in the above-mentioned apartments. ASU East provides a bus service everyday for the students traveling to-and-fro. Here are some important guidelines:

Check the amenities since they vary between different types of housing. For e.g., there is no electric/gas stove in the residence Halls, which many people may find inconvenient.
Ethernet facilities are available in residence Halls.
Most important please do tell the people that there is no shopping facility which is at a walking distance.
People need to have car if they have to buy groceries/other stuff. They can't rely on the bus since they are not operated during college breaks and vacation.
ASU East Campus provides on-campus housing facilities for those you are interested staying near-by, taking into considerations the above-mentioned guidelines.
