Step 2: Briefly describe your idea for an exciting service project that Gamma Beta Phi can do either on its own, in partnership with another student organization, or with a nonprofit organization in the community. Examples of nonprofit organizations include:

• Charities

• Homeless shelters

• Temporary housing for battered women/children/others

• Nursing homes or children's homes (e.g., orphanages or housing for at-risk youth)

• Environmental groups (e.g., GreenPeace, Sierra Club)

• Schools or school districts

• Any other organization which benefits the community and does not make a profit in the process.

To keep in-step with the objectives of Gamma Beta Phi as a national organization, project ideas should involve work that "fosters, disseminates, and improves education", although any project that benefits the community is acceptable.
