How to Join FMA

The Financial Management Association is an international organization of finance professionals, students, and faculty. The organization was founded to facilitate the transfer of ideas in the field of finance.

Here is a brief summary of what we do here at the Arizona State chapter of the organization:

Our meetings are held every Thursday and consist of two parts: The Speaker and The Social. At the beginning of every meeting a couple of members of the executive board will fill everyone in on what has been going on (Future events, web page updates, etc...). After the introductory procedures, we give the floor to our guest speaker.

SPEAKERS

Speakers talk about what it's like to work for their company, the duties that come along with their job title, they give career advice, and discuss any job/internship opportunities that are offered by their company. We then allow some time for members to ask any questions that they may have.

SOCIALS

Afterwards, we invite all members and our guest speaker to join us at a local bar/restaurant for complimentary food and drinks. Past socials have been held at places such as:

Ra Sushi Bar
Big Fat Greek Restuarant
Gordon Biersch
Z Tejas
Uno's Pizzeria
Macayo's

Our socials are a great way to meet new people and have lots of fun. Plus, the free food. And as we all know, the best things in life are free.
