The ASU Sun Devils field hockey club is proud to present the 3rd ASU Cactus Classic Field Hockey Tournament to be held Saturday, January 27th through Sunday, January 28th 2006, on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe, Arizona.
TOURNAMENT DESCRIPTION
At the heart of Tempe, AZ, the Sun Devils Field Hockey Club will be hosting our 3rd annual Cactus Classic Tournament. The field is conveniently located close to Sky Harbor airport, making travel time minimal. Each game will be played at the ASU Astroturf - it is 80 yards by 60 yards - so we are going to play a 9-a-side format (includes the goalie).
We also have a grass pitch adjacent to the Astroturf. Based on the number of teams and the schedule, each team may have to play at the most, one game on grass.
Games will begin at 8:00 am each day. The tournament will be over around 4:00 pm Sunday. National hockey rules apply.

DIVISIONS
Mixed and Youth U-16.
All teams will be guaranteed at least 4 games over the two days. Teams will be registered on a first come first serve basis.
The tournament will be a round robin or divisional format, depending on the number of registered teams. The top teams will be presented with an award for each player.
REGISTRATION
The registration form and appropriate team fees are due by December 31, 2006.
Registration will be limited to the first teams that submit a registration form with a team fee.
• Tournament fee is $350 per team - maximum of 13 players per team.
• Youth's tournament fee is $100 per team.
• $100 refundable umpire deposit.
PROCEDURE
• Each team is required to submit a registration form and each player is required to complete and sign a waiver form.
• Please fill out the registration form online or mail in a hardcopy.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel
prior to January 13th your fees will be returned in full.
If you cancel your
registration AFTER January 13th, you will forfeit your registration fee!
Cancellations can be made via email or phone.
UMPIRES
Each team should provide at least one official to umpire matches during the tournament. Umpires will be paid $10 per game.
TOURNAMENT BANQUET
On Saturday, January 27th, there will be a banquet dinner for all teams participating in the tournament. The cost for this dinner is included in the player fee. Additional dinners may be purchased for non-player guests. Banquet information will be provided after registration is received.

GENERAL INFORMATION
• There's no Snow in Phoenix!!! Daytime temperature can be anywhere from 60 to 80 degrees. Just right for a fun time.
• Restrooms are available right next to the fields.
• There is ample parking adjacent to the fields.
• Shower facilities will be available on Sunday for your convenience.
After receiving your completed registration form and team fee, an email will be sent confirming your registration. Follow-up tournament materials will be sent after the field of teams is finalized.
