Closing Ceremonies - including the Announcement of Awards and the Keynote Speaker Address will take place in
Memorial Union Pima Room - 218
from 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM on September 30th, 2005..

Keynote Speaker:

Bob J. Brilon 
InPlay Technologies, Inc.

Bob Brilon is the chief executive officer, president and chief financial officer for InPlay Technologies, a licensor of proprietary, emerging technologies.

Mr. Brilon has been on the InPlay Technologies Board of Directors since January 2001 and served as chairman until April 2005. He has been with the company since its inception 1997 as a consultant. Bob joined as the President/CFO in November 1998 to take the company public on the American Stock Exchange, and ultimately NASDAQ. Bob leads the management team in determining and executing on the company's direction and goals concerning their emerging technologies. Mr. Brilon is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University and an active member of the AeA (American Electronics Association) and Arizona Technology Council.

John Timm & Jerry Gannod, Ph.D.
Computer science grad student John T. E. Timm and Division of Computing Studies assistant professor Gerald Gannod authored "A Model-Driven Approach for Specifying Semantic Web Services," which was recognized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE). Timm presented the paper at the International Conference on Web Services in July 2005.

Hari Sundaram, Ph.D. – Arts, Media and Engineering Program
The goal of the Arts, Media and Engineering Program is transdisciplinary research and education in the integrated development of media technologies and content with a focus on experiential media. This innovative new field is described in detail at http://ame.asu.edu/

Jonathan D. Posner, Ph.D.
A new faculty in the Fulton School of Engineering, Assistant Professor Jonathan D. Posner has joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Arizona State University. His research lies at the intersection of engineering, biology and chemistry, and focuses on some of humanity's greatest engineering challenges, namely, health, energy and sustainability.

John Crittenden, Ph.D.
A national leader in water quality research and environmental engineering, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, Dr. Crittenden joined Arizona State University in 2004 to continue his cutting-edge research in the area of sustainability. Dr. Crittenden holds the Richard Snell Presidential Chair in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at here in the Fulton School of Engineering.
