I am a second year pre-med student at ASU. I am majoring in Biology in Society, and minoring in Spanish. I am very interested in going into pediatric oncology. I started my involvement with AMSA in my first year. I really enjoy the programming that AMSA has to offer. I enjoy working with students of the same interests and working to better our community. I am the president of AMSA for the 2008-2009 school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have.

My majors are in Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology, and Creative Writing. I have been considering becoming a doctor for many years. However, as that dream slowly becomes more and more of a reality, I realized I needed to get more involved in general healthcare. Being in AMSA gives me the chance to make important contacts, volunteer to help others, and spend time with friends while remaining connected with the medical community.

I am currently pursuing a major in Psychology. Along with psychology I am on the fun adventure of jumping through hoops as a pre-medical student! I am interested in surgery, medical education, and hopefully medical reform some day. I am very interested in improving the overall education people in the community have of their health and taking care of their bodies. Another intriguing thing I find in life is the Da Vinci machine used to conduct different surgeries. A website I highly recommend is www.orlive.com. When it comes to trying to get into medical school, the only thing that comes to mind is studying medicine and a specific specialty to the point that can be used to dramatically increased the quality of life for people!

II am a third year student in Barrett, and I am studying bioengineering and medicinal biochemistry. I joined AMSA during my first year, and I keep coming back because of the fun, like-minded people and the great times we have had. I have served as our officer of clinical partnerships and as our treasurer in the past. By far, my favorite activities in AMSA have been our socials and attending AMSA national and regional conferences. Please do not hesitate to talk to me at one of our meetings or send me an email.

I'm a senior majoring in biochemistry and I initially joined AMSA because they had a lot of interesting panels and workshops going on throughout the semester. I'm graduating in the spring and applying for med school so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

I'm going to be a Senior in the Fall with majors in Psychology and Pre-med with a minor in Biology. My passion is naturopathic medicine, a combination of allopathic and homeopathic remedies, and am applying to medical schools this Fall. This is my third year as a part of AMSA, and have enjoyed the positions and travel opportunities. Two years ago I went to the regional conference at UCLA Medical School, and have been at both National Conferences in Washington D.C. and Houston. I am also currently the pre-med representative for the Naturopathic Interest Group. I look forward to finishing my last year at ASU with AMSA, ready to travel and become even more involved with the community.

I am a student at the Barrett Honors College, pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry with a Medicinal Chemistry Concentration. My interests, academic and otherwise, include travel, public health, Young Life, biomedical research, and athletics. Through AMSA, I hope we can build a stronger pre-med community at ASU that keeps students informed and is active in the community. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions. I would be happy to hear from you.
