Shadow Day
Catch a glimpse of what a typical Marketing day is like, learn some of the “ins and outs” of the business, and start your professional networking by attending Shadow Day.
Organized by the Phoenix Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Shadow Day is an opportunity for ASU AMA students to learn about developing their professional career and to spend an afternoon with AMA Professionals in their workplace.
Shadow Day kicks-off with a special orientation program just for participating ASU AMA students. The event begins at 8:45 a.m. at the SRP PERA Club Centennial Conference Center for a Continental Breakfast. The morning will feature a panel discussion, guest speaker and more that will focus on growing your personal and professional career. Then it’s off to the monthly AMA Luncheon at 11:15 a.m., where students will meet with their Sponsors and network with other marketing professionals. After lunch, you and your Sponsor will head to the workplace for an afternoon of hands-on learning and true workplace experiences. The day will end around 5 p.m.
To participate in Shadow Day, please fill out this form. Registration fee is $10 (by check or cash to AMA Phoenix) and can be paid the day of the event. We will provide a Continental Breakfast and the Sponsor will cover the AMA Luncheon. Please email this form and your resume (or a summary of your background, interests, and goals) to jxbord@srpnet.com . Space is limited to 20 students, so priority will be given to those graduating first. Once enrolled, we will send you a Shadow Day event packet and agenda.
You will need to provide your own transportation to SRP’s PERA Club, the Luncheon, and to and from the Sponsor’s workplace. Please plan to attend the whole day. If you need a letter from AMA explaining why you are missing classes, please let us know in advance. Deadline for registration is March 25, 2004.
