ALSA News
Happy New Year! ALSA celebrated the year of the horse with an ALSA sponsored dim sum lunch at C-Fu Gourmet in Chandler. It was a nice change from the usual fast food meals on which law students (somehow) subsist. Gathering together outside of the law school also gave us a chance to enjoy each other's company and reflect on last semester's activities.
In the fall, we had an "ASU LAW" sweatshirt sale that will offset some of our expenses. We also printed t-shirts inspired by Matthew Goldstein (see homepage for full back design). Our moot court team, Paul Li (3L) and James Cabansag (2L), traveled to Colorado where they competed in the National Asian Pacific American Law Students Association moot court competition. We also welcomed a guest speaker (thank you, Professor Lynk) and assisted the Arizona Asian American Bar Association with organizing the annual National Asian Pacific Bar Association annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.
As for this semester, in addition to our Lunar New Year dim sum, our attorney mentor program became a reality (thank you, Lisa Loo and devoted mentors!). What other events will there be? Check back for updates!
