Welcome to Kokikai Aikido at ASU

regular practice resumes January 18th, regular time and place

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art that stresses the coordination of mind and body to develop calmness in action and the strongest human condition.  It is a system of self defense using holds and throws that don't depend on muscular strength for their effectiveness.  Aikido techniques can be effective without damage to the attacker, making this art non-violent and safe to practice.

Besides providing you with a system of ethical self defense, regular Aikido practice will develop your coordination, flexibility, and stamina.  Aikido training will also improve your ability to keep calm in stressful situations and your ability to concentrate.  And while Aikido training is a serious undertaking, it is also a lot of fun!

Regular Club practices are held each Monday and Wednesday of the week in the SRC small gym A from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
