Things to do this semester:

 

Fund raising activities:

Bake Sale at Herberger Singers concert February 11.

Water from Costco

Need to: Check with office for approval of table set-up. Talk to Gary Quamy to see if a table is available.  Dr. Schildkret needs to approve fund raiser, Becky Bell is office person to speak with. Angie and Christina are taking care of this.

 

Other fundraiser, Islands.  Make flyers to bring extra business to Islands, a percentage of extra profits go to ACDA.  Get permission from Dr. Schildkret to place flyers in the programs. Angie will discuss this with Dr. Schildkret while discussing the fund raising.

 

Run ideas by Laura Baldasano and Dr. Gentry, Dr. Bush for fund raising (good resource).

 

Send e-mail to ACDA members to bring something to concerts (Feb. 11 Herberger, Feb. 24 Uni. Choir).

 

Pies, Cakes, Rice Krispies, Muffins, Brownies, Cookies, Water.  Check with stores if they will donate goods to ACDA (non-profit org.).

Offer to set advertisement in front of goods.  Christina will check with stores. Theme the goods for Valentines day for the Feb. 11 Concert.

 

Events

 

Schedule a local director to lecture on running a successful high school program.

Bart Evans (incorporates sol fedge into rehearsal).

Daniel Cohen, McClintock High School, on picking choral lit.

Katie Healy, Connolly Middle School.  Teaching theory, also warm-ups.

 

Officer Assignments

 

Proposal of allowing evaluation of officer situation at mid-year to see if additional officers need to be added.

Proposal to add President-Elect position to prepare incoming President.

 

Amend ACDA constitution to read that semester before current President leaves the position of President-Elect will open, VP automatically gets nomination, other nominations accepted.  Whatever position opens becomes open to nomination.  Motion is supported by officers.
