This was ABLA’s fourth meeting of the Spring 2008 Semester. During this meeting ABLA members had the opportunity to hear from a guest speaker from Southwestern Company. Guest speaker Jen Jones delivered a presentation titled “From College to Professional Career”.

Ms. Jen Jones talked about the Sales Cycle and specific techniques that a sales person needs to succeed in each step.  She also discussed the characteristics that separate a person who lives on a salary as opposed to a person who is “paid their worth” and takes home a 6-digit income. She also discussed the opportunities, risks, and fears a new graduate must overcome to be successful in anything they do.
The discussion and presentation was found helpful by many ABLA members because it provided critical insight from a professional point of view as well as giving helpful hints on how to jumpstart one’s career right after the graduation.

ABLA members and the speaker enjoyed ABLA pizza time following the meeting.
