This meeting was the kick-off meeting for ABLA’s 2008 Spring Semester. After an introduction of the executive board and the members, ABLA’s advisor Ms. Glenda Levendowski, professor of W. P. Carey Accountancy department, gave a motivational speech to encourage members to become further involved in ABLA. This was followed by president Cuong Le, who gave an overview on ABLA’s core values, main activities in Spring semester and ABLA membership opportunities.

ABLA will be accepting a membership fee of $5.00 throughout the semester to become an official ABLA member.  If you have not already done so, request and fill out a membership form at the next meeting and turn it in with your money. Membership includes the following:

1. A free ABLA polo-shirt
2. Job internship/contact information
3. Networking opportunities
4. Free pizza following meetings

To close out the meeting ABLA welcomed Ms. Stefani Plummer, Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, who helped organize many fun ice breaking games to encourage all of ABLA’s new members to get to know each other better.

The meeting concluded with free pizza and social time.
