3/24/08: ABLA Election is THIS THURSDAY!!!
Please Do NOT forget to attend this week's meeting. Our election candidates will be delivering their 5 minute speeches. The results will be decided by anonymous voting by the end of the meeting.

3/16/08: ABLA Beach Volleyball Tournament (Saturday, March 22nd)
This week will be one of the most exciting weeks of ABLA this semester in which we will have ABLA Beach Volleyball Tournament Spring 2008 between student organizations on Saturday March 22nd 2008 starting from Noon until 6pm. There will be trophies for the 3 best teams of the tournaments. Make sure that you mark this event on your calendar because you do not want to miss the chance to support ABLA Team and enjoy the extended Spring Break fun that ABLA is offering.
ABLA Election for Academic Year 2008/2009
The application package for ABLA’s Election is now available for candidates. Please feel free to email us at asuabla@gmail.com to receive the soft copy or call (480-365-9908) if you would like to receive the hard copy of the application package. As mentioned during the ABLA meeting last Thursday (March 6th 2008), EVERY position on ABLA’s executive board will be open, specifically:
All registered ABLA members (who have paid the membership) will be eligible to run for the Election or being nominated by other ABLA members. ABLA is looking for individuals who:
- have/want to gain leadership skills
-
want to involve more with ABLA
- help make ABLA a better student business organization
If this is you, then we are looking forward to receiving your application!
Deadline for application is March 21 @ 5pm
Election day is March 27 @ 5pm Room BA359

We would like to thank all of our ABLA members and friends who were able to make it ABLA Movie Night on Friday, March 29th. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did – and for those of you who could not make it, we hope to see you next time!
ABLA’s next general meeting will be held this Thursday, March 6, from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM in room BA 359. ABLA will have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers – Mr. Eric Woodward from Southwestern Company. He will be talking about “From College to Professional Career .

2/29/08: 3rd Meeting Quick Minute
Last Thursday, Feb. 21, ABLA members had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers from Countrywide Financial Corporation. ABLA would like to thank Mr. James A. Thompson, VP of Strategic Communication, and Ms. Sandra Quilantang, Senior Recruiter, for speaking to members about Career Path Management and Resume Building skills.

Last Thursday, Feb. 7, ABLA hosted its International Trivia Game. The Lucky Rats competed against the Amazing Asians which resulted in a dramatic tie. Details can be found here inside of our Meeting Minutes section. Photos will be uploaded soon.
