The School of Social and Family Dynamics honors program
is a new and exciting sequence of coursework that offers students
a
unique
undergraduate
experience.
The courses include (1) a comprehensive introduction to social
science research methods and statistics, (2) a thesis experience
where they are mentored as they conduct their own research project,
and (3) a colloquium that provides guidance for a successful thesis
experience and for future career development.
The school's honors program provides excellent preparation for
graduate study in family and human development, sociology, and
related fields.
At the same time, students considering other career choices will
benefit from developing a depth of knowledge in an area of their
choosing, expanding critical analytical and writing abilities while
in the program, and establishing close connections with experienced
faculty.
