Clubs

The Sociology Club

  • The goal of the Sociology Club is to provide students an opportunity to network with other students, faculty, and community leaders, and to become actively involved in service in both the ASU and the broader local community.
  • Students do not need to be Sociology majors or minors, or have sociological background-only to embrace the goals and spirit of the Club.
  • During the semester, the Soc Club will provide opportunities for mingling, networking, and service through workshops and social gatherings.
  • For more information, email SocClub@asu.edu

Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD)

  • Alpha Kappa Delta is a democratic, academic organization dedicated to the study of sociology, the research of social problems, or other social and intellectual activities. It promotes the development of scholastic and leadership skills within the framework of a national honor society and the department of Sociology. Visit the AKD website.
  • For a one-time payment of $48, students receive a lifetime membership!
  • How to qualify:
    • Students may be from ANY major. The minimum requirement is 12 credit hours in Sociology.
    • Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and also a 3.0 GPA in their Sociology courses. Students need an advisor's signature to verify GPA requirements (this does NOT have to be an SSFD advisor if the student is majoring in something other than Sociology).
    • Download the registration form (Word file)
