Grant/Proposal Information

Faculty in the School of Social and Family Dynamics are increasingly active in seeking and obtaining external funding. Sarah Gates is our Grant Contract Coordinator and she will assist with the completion/routing of internal forms, development of budget, gathering of information for current and pending support, completion of required cover pages and other forms for the sponsor, and other things that take your time away from working on the scientific aspect of the proposal. On this page you will find links to assist you with understanding the external grant proposal submission. Sarah will assist you in preparing a budget for the proposal and in the budget process after a grant is obtained. On this page, we provide links to the internal routing forms. You will also find a link to the Office for Research and Sponsored Projects Administration (ORSPA). There you will find even more information and resources to help guide you through the proposal submission process.

Please contact Sarah Gates, Grant Contract Coordinator, when preparing to submit a proposal or if you have any questions in regard to research administration.

Budget preparation

Budget Preparation Worksheet (Excel format)

The budget preparation sheet can be used to provide Sarah Gates with critical information on developing your budget. This should be given to her as early as possible in the process. She will use this preparation sheet to develop a full budget for your proposal.
