Family Impact Seminars: Where Research Meets Policy on Family
Issues
Seminar Overview | Topics | Resources | Policy

Family Impact Seminars (FIS) are designed to build long term
relationships with legislators and legislative staff so that research
can influence
development
of legislation and state policies. FIS creates a non-partisan,
non-advocacy forum in which to bring researchers and policy makers
together to discuss issues from a family perspective, as opposed
to a strictly economic or political view.
FIS can give your research an opportunity to be heard, discussed,
and inform public policy. FIS can give your research assistants
the opportunity to write for public policy use.
