Arizona State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

From the Director

Welcome to the new School of Social and Family Dynamics at Arizona State University. On July 1, 2006, the former Department of Family and Human Development and the former Department of Sociology merged to become the school of social and family dynamics.

This merger presents many interesting, new, and exciting opportunities and challenges for our faculty, staff, and students. Below is some descriptive information that will give you some flavor for the quality of the work and people that make up our school.

I invite you to explore our webpages and learn more about who we are and what we do. Important changes will be continue to take place over the next year or so that will add greater visibility and stature to our new school. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or desire further information (rf@asu.edu).
