In my research, I investigate family and the intersection
of family with others areas in both the United States and Nepal.
Issues I have addressed include fertility, self-esteem, education,
aging, and marriage. Accompanying my focus on the family is a
curiosity to explore how families and individuals within families
change as the social contexts around them also change. I
am also pursuing a new area of research in population and environment. Using
a true experimental design, our project examines how different
Phoenix landscaping regimes change people's environmental attitudes,
satisfaction, and practices.
