My research has focused on examining relationships between population and the environment as well as the use and development of quantitative approaches for exploring and investigating these relationships. Substantive areas in which this work has been applied include transit, urban growth, crime and homeless service provision. A major facet of my research has involved the development and use of exploratory spatial data analysis techniques as well as spatial data mining approaches. Recent work has focused on space-time pattern detection in crime, housing mobility and migration.
