Dr. Eggum is a Developmental Psychologist whose substantive research interests lie in children's social and emotional adjustment. Her primary focus is the taxonomy and development of youths' social withdrawal, as well as its correlates and outcomes within the person-, family-, and peer-context. Her secondary line of research takes a mixed-methods approach to understanding children's life events, coping, adjustment, and resiliency in international contexts, particularly Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Eggum's quantitative interests involve latent variable modeling of longitudinal data.
