I am a Ph.D. student in sociology specializing in family demography and statistics. My work primarily focuses on family structure, family processes and its effect on young adult outcomes. I also have interest in nuptiality patterns, particularly interracial marriage and cohabitation. I am currently working on developing my dissertation which focuses on adolescent educational and behavior outcomes and how these outcomes are affected by parental school involvement via social class, as well as cultural, human and social capital.
