I am a Ph.D.student and Graduate Research Associate specializing in Demography in the Program in Sociology at the School of Social and Family Dynamics of ASU. My primary research interest focus on demographic aspects of social change in sub-Saharan Africa. I have researched on diverse themes such as Reproductive Health and Family Planning, Socio-economic status and mortality, HIV/AIDS and Migration and Adolescent Health. My recent research engagement is a collaborative project on the Demography of Armed Conflict in Angola. An article from this project titled “Forced Migration and HIV/AIDS Risks in Angola” is forthcoming in International Migration. Prior to commencing my PH.D. Studies, I worked as a field Research Officer of the Navrongo Health Research Centre, of the Ministry of Health of Ghana.
