MEET THE CDL LEAD STAFF

Courtney

Hi, I'm Courtney Romley. This will be my sixth year as a lead teacher at the CDL. I graduated from ASU in 2006 with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre and a minor in Family & Human Development.

Marcia

Hi, I'm Marcia Charles and I am a lead teacher working in the classroom full-time. I'm beginning my 27th year of teaching young children. I look forward to another year of growth and learning together. Each year is exciting getting to know each child and their families. I thought I'd tell you a little about my family: my husband, Dave, works for Boeing. I have three children; my son, Tom (21 years old), my stepson, Nick (21 years old), and my daughter Hannah (20 years old). I enjoy exercising, singing rock'n roll oldies while friends play guitar, spending time discussing life with my adult children, and traveling when I can with my husband.

Mila

Hi!! My name is Mila da Costa, I am 37 years old, and I am originally from Portugal. I moved to Arizona in March of 2009 in order to pursue a master's degree here at ASU. I am glad to say that I graduated in July 2010 with a Master's of Advanced Study (MAS) in Infant Family Practice from the School of Social and Family Dynamics. When I first started working at the CDL in 2009, I was a student staff worker in Maureen's classroom. Now, I am starting my second year as a Lead Teacher in this multi-age classroom. I plan to apply my experience of working with children here at the CDL along with my knowledge in Child Development and Infant Mental Health in order to promote developmentally appropriate activities for your children. I am very excited about this year!! See you all at the CDL.

Mary

Hi, I'm Mary Zuzich. I'm the Program Manager at the Child Development Lab. I have been working with young chidren and their families since 1972. I have undergraduate degrees in Child Development and Elementary Education from Michigan State University and a master's degree in Elementary Education from ASU. My first experience at the CDL was as a graduate assistant for the 1985-86 school year. I taught in what is now Courtney's room; Marcia Charles and I shared the classroom! I returned to the CDL in 1999. Working with young children, families, college students and a team of early childhood educators is a perfect combination for me.
