SCOLA is an international news service providing current news from around the world in its native language. These broadcasts are available on campus on Cox Cable Channel 22. The schedule is available at main SCOLA website.
The Department of Languages & Literatures subscribes to the Video Streaming service, which makes it possible to have local copies of up-to-date newscasts from any of SCOLA's offerings.
SCOLA offers a service called INSTA-CLASS, which provides video and audio clips (about 5 minutes, usually) of various news programs, along with Target-language transcripts, English translations, vocabulary and questions ready to be integrated into a lesson plan. All of the languages have printable .pdf files, and some have ready-to-post web pages as .html files, and online pages accessible with a password.
