Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.E.) in German

For the Bachelor of Arts in Education/German major, you must complete a total of 45 credits, of which 30 credits are courses in German language, literature and civilization and 15 are credits in a related field.

For specific courses and , look at the Bachelor of Arts in Education (German) check sheet (.pdf file) for the most current Catalog year. If you are a native speaker and are interested in the B.A.E. degree with a major in German, please look at the Bachelor of Arts in Education (German) - NATIVE SPEAKERS check sheet (.pdf file). (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access either of these files.)

For the Related Fields category, it is highly recommended that students concentrate in another language or specific area that will make them more marketable as secondary education teachers. BAE/German majors can also consult with Dr. John Alexander, Advisor in German for the College of Education, about appropriate courses.
