The Classical Studies program at Arizona State University offers undergraduate students a wide variety of opportunities to study the language, literature, and culture of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Our Integrated Studies Major in Classical Studies has a strong emphasis on the ancient languages, but also offers courses in art, politics, mythology, and history in a variety of schools and departments. We also offer a certificate in Classical Studies for those students interested in pursuing a classical education in conjunction with another major or as part of their general studies.
Career Opportunities
An Integrated Studies major may or may not be professionally or vocationally oriented, depending on the area of concentration. All Integrated Studies majors, however, share with all other liberal arts and sciences students the goal of developing analytical and communicative abilities. The program combines breadth of learning with an appropriate depth in some focused area of inquiry. Integrated Studies graduates are prepared to enter the work force or pursue graduate or professional studies at the completion of their undergraduate studies.
