Under the direction of Dr. Andrea Pittman, studies conducted in the Pediatric Amplification Lab focus on hearing-impaired children and their ability to understand speech. Of particular interest are the hearing aid characteristics that will be most helpful to them during the years of speech and language development. Our studies help us to better understand how children with hearing loss experience speech and language as well as ways to improve those experiences.
