Welcome to the alumni page of the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University (formerly the Department of Anthropology). As we grow this site, you will soon be able to find news of former students and fellow alumni, as well as information about current and upcoming happenings in the School. Here too are instructions about how to get in touch (or back in touch) with our School and with other alumni—and information about how your contribution to our School can help us grow!

Alumni News
Check back soon for updates about former students and fellow alumni. Make sure to get in touch and let us know your current contact information (see below), as well as any news you would like to share with the SHESC community.

Consider a gift to SHESC! We could certainly use your help. The School is presently embarking on an unprecedented period of growth and development, the dimensions of which remain to be fully charted. You can be a part of this ambitious enterprise today, just as you were a part of the Department of Anthropology when it was still establishing the record of excellence that ultimately led ASU to select it to become its own school. Although the university has invested (and continues to invest) considerable resources in this school-building effort, inevitably we lack some of what we need, to accomplish all that we hope to. This is where you come in!

Regarding how prospective donors might wish to target their donations, we have numerous options to suggest and we are open to yet other possibilities! Among the various funds and endowments we currently seek to build, one would enable the School to increase the amount of research and travel funding that it is able to make available to its graduate students; a second would support an annual distinguished speaker series; and a third would increase the number of undergraduate research assistantships the School is able to offer annually. And for those considering a higher level of giving, the School seeks endowment funds for a distinguished professorship. Prospective donors who would like to discuss their own ideas for giving are encouraged to contact directly the School Director, Sander van der Leeuw.

Thank you for considering us for a possible gift!
