Theta Alpha Kappa
The Department of Religious Studies at ASU is proud to have been chartered the Alpha Beta Sigma chapter of the National Honor Society for Religious Studies/Theology, Theta Alpha Kappa. Theta Alpha Kappa was formed in 1975 to further the study of Religion and Theology at the undergraduate and graduate level, to foster the exchange of ideas among scholars, and to sponsor activities and mechanisms for the better realization of these purposes. In 1985, Theta Alpha Kappa became a member of the Association for College Honor Societies and now has approximately 100 chapters across North America.

The criteria for membership in Theta Alpha Kappa are as follows: 1) Completion of a minimum of three semesters of college courses at ASU, 2) Completion of a minimum of 12 credits in Religious Studies, 3) A grade average of at least 3.5 in Religious Studies and a cumulative index of 3.0. Please contact Patricia Power (Patricia.Power@asu.edu) or at (480) 965-0642 for more information on Theta Alpha Kappa, as well as a membership application.
