What Services are provided?

The Psychology services at the CPC are available to children, adolescents and adults.

Therapy is provided for a broad range of problems including:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Family problems

  • Stress

  • Child behavior problems

  • Relationship problems

  • Anger

  • ADHD

  • Adjustment to chronic health problems

The CPC does not provide:

  • emergency appointments

  • psychiatric evaluation

  • medical supervision

  • chemical dependency treatment programs

  • treatment for serious mental illness

  • child custody evaluations

Because the CPC is a training facility, some selectivity is involved in accepting clients for treatment; however, for those individuals who cannot be seen immediately, every effort is made to refer them to an alternative service provider.

Psychological assessment is available on a limited basis.

Evaluations of learning and attention problems are the most frequently requested. Fixed fees are charged for evaluations. Fees vary according to tests administered and examiner. Click here for additional information.

Presentations/In-Service Training is available to University departments and Community organizations for no charge.

Who provides services?
Most therapists are graduate students who are working toward their doctorate in clinical psychology. They work under close supervision of faculty members who are licensed psychologists. Some faculty members also see clients or conduct group therapy in the Center.

Where is the CPC ?
The Center is in Room 289 on the second floor of the Psychology Building located near the intersection of McAllister and Tyler Streets at the northeast corner of the ASU Campus. Click here for directions.

Where do I park?
Park in visitor's parking in the Rural Road Parking Structure , west of Rural, off Terrace, and we will validate your ticket.

When is it open?
The CPC is open 8am to 8pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am to 12pm on Friday.

How much does it cost?
Fees are determined on a sliding scale basis that takes an individual's income and family size into consideration and ranges from $10 to $90. There is a $20 fee for the first session. Fixed fees are charged for evaluations.
