Ways You Can Help
Many the Capital Scholars' D.C. internships are unpaid, and the costs of the program prevent some of the most promising students from participating, unless they receive financial support. The program fee is approximately $4,000 per student for housing, some meals and excursions. In addition to this fee, students must pay for their course credit tuition, airfare to D.C., most meals, local transportation and incidental expenses. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences provides funding for the program equivalent to $300 per student. To supplement this support, the college seeks to raise $50,000 per year in private funding for need-based scholarships to ensure that the most qualified students can participate.
Fund a Scholarship
Making a gift to the ASU Capital Scholars Program is an investment in the future of Arizona and the nation. Your gift is a reflection of your own philanthropic goals and a statement about your interest in developing quality public-policy leaders and promoting civic engagement.
Contributions of any amount are welcome. A gift of $1,500 will fund a tuition waiver for one in-state student; $2,500 will cover the cost of housing in D.C. for one student; a gift of $4,000 will cover the program fee for a student.

Offer an Internship
If your firm has an office in the nation's capital or you have business contacts there, you can assist the program by providing or arranging an internship for a Capital Scholar. Paid internships are especially appreciated.
