Community Volunteers

Volunteers are employed to staff certain areas of the ASU Writers Conference. Volunteers are asked to donate from 8-40 hours during the four-day conference and in return are invited to attend conference events and workshops free of charge. Under the Piper Center for Creative Writing staff's guidance, volunteers staff the registration/information desk, serve as aides in each event room, and assist the staff in other general duties relating to the conference. On behalf of the Center, the volunteers serve as on-site customer service representatives and contribute greatly to the success of the conference.

If you would like to volunteer for the 2008 conference, please submit a brief cover letter outlining your interest, a resume and three professional references to: Charles Jensen, Assistant Director and Conference Director, Virginia G. Volunteer applications must be received by Friday, November 2, 2007. Notifications will be made by January 15.
