Walter Mosley is the author of twenty-three critically acclaimed novels and his work has been translated into twenty-one languages. Two movies have been made from his work: Devil in a Blue Dress and Always Outnumbered. His short fiction has been published in The New Yorker, GQ, Esquire, USA Weekend, Los Angeles Times Magazine, and Savoy. Mosley has won the Anisfield Wolf Award, a Grammy Award, the 1996 Black Caucus of the American Library Association’s Literary Award, and was a finalist for the NAACP Award in Fiction. He was also an O’Henry Award winner in 1996 and is featured in the 1996 Prize Stories. This year he was given an honorary doctorate by The City College.
