About:
 

 

 Dr. Kulinna worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Wayne State University for six years prior to joining the faculty in the Department of Kinesiology at Arizona State University in the fall of 2003. Dr. Kulinna is currently a Faculty Affiliate in the Department of Kinesiology, along with her appointment in Physical Education Pedagogy at ASU’s Polytechnic campus.

Research:

Dr. Kulinna’s research focuses on the study of physical activity patterns in and outside of school settings. A secondary area of interest is measuring student learning and teaching behaviors. Dr. Kulinna has made over 50 presentations to international, national and regional audiences and has published 39 articles, including 29 referred research articles published in a variety of journals. She has had 19 projects funded through external (14) and internal (5) grant agencies. Dr. Kulinna serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education and is a guest reviewer for other journals such as Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport and the Journal of Teacher Education
