Judit Bokser Liwerant is Head of the Graduate School of Political and Social Sciences, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and Chair of the Academic Committee of the Universidad Hebraica in Mexico City. Considered an expert in the field of Latin American Jewish Studies, she was born in Buenos Aires, and l earned her B.A. and M.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 1968 she moved to Mexico — where she resides today — to study at UNAM, receiving her Ph.D. in Political Science. In 2002 she was appointed a member if the Council of the Human Rights Commission of Mexico City, and has published extensively on the topics of anti- Semitism, racism, and related topics in Jewish history.
