Omer Bartov is the John P. Birkelund Distinguished Professor of European History, and Professor of German Studies, at Brown University. He received a B.A. from Tel Aviv University and Ph.D. from St. Antony's College, Oxford. Considered one of the world's leading authorities on the subject of genocide, his research has been honored with numerous fellowships from institutions including Harvard, Princeton, the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and the National Endowment of the Humanities.
