Hayden Library
Judaica Collection
Hayden Library is centrally located on the Tempe campus of Arizona
State University, and houses the University's growing Judaica Collection. Acquisitions
are made not only as purchases, but also through the gernerosity of donors as
gifts and bequests.
The Jewish Studies Program recently acquired the full run of the
Jewish Daily
Forward, on microfiche. This publication was the predominant daily newspaper
in the U.S. Jewish community for many years, and contains important cultural "data" relative to the North American Jewish community that cannot
be obtained to such a degree from any other single source.
Other notable acquisions include
The
Zipperstein Collection,
The Marvin Fisher Collection,
The Norman Drachler Collection (PDF),
the Libraries acquisition of
the Rothschild
Miscellany, and the donation of books from the personal collection of retired
professor
Eli Kaminsky.
