Daniel Cutrara received his Masters of Divinity along with a Masters in Narrative Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, California, and his M.F.A. in Film Production/Writing at the University of Southern California. While he was a Jesuit priest, he worked as a story analyst in Hollywood and taught screenwriting and story analysis in the film school at Loyola Marymount University. In 2000, he left the priesthood to pursue his creative interests.

Creative Work
Producers have secured rights to two of his scripts: "Gypsies" a psychological fantasy that explores family issues around sibling rivalry and suicide, and "Kali Danced" a murder mystery set in India that focuses on the effects of sexual repression among gay clergy.
He is currently preparing an article "Faith in Sexual Difference: A Former Jesuit's Story" for an edited volume.
