Dr. Rubinoff’s research areas include American media in the 20th century’s popular culture and the impact of TV on the political process. He is currently writing a biography on composer Sigmund Romberg, a major figure of 1920s Broadway and among the first songwriters of film scores at major studios in both the silent and early sound eras.
