Photo processes, rather than straight black and white or color photography inspires me to continue fine art photography. The images are unique, in that each print comes out differently. I have to carefully decide what images to work with, considering the amount of time that goes into each piece. Often, I start with a vintage family photograph which I sometimes match with text. One series explores how I see stereotypes in a humorous manner. All my work is personal, often based on actual experiences.

The pieces included are from my "Hispanic Series". This series of cyanotypes on watercolor paper uses text clipped from magazines geared towards Hispanics (the words are often taken completely out of context), along with family photographs borrowed from my parents, to create images intended to poke fun at my "brown-ness".
