Homer Lane. Radio and Television Administrator


Homer L. Lane was born in New York City. Lane attended public schools there. Later, he worked for NBC Radio in 1942. However, Lane entered the U.S. Army the same year. The following year, while yet in the service, he married Doris Lanoue. (Doris died in 1990; in1995 Lane married Dorothy Ikeler.)

Upon his discharge from the service, he joined CBS Radio New York. Lane served as Program Director of KMHL, Marshall, Minnesota 1947-1951. Homer Lane contracted with the KOOL organization, Phoenix, in April, 1951. In his long career in Radio, Lane served variously as: Account Executive, Program Director, News Director, Station Manager Radio, General Manager of KOOL Radio & Television, Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and member of the Board of Directors. In addition, Lane served as Chairman of the Government Relations Committee CBS-TV Affiliates Association; Vice Chairman Political Action Committee; National Association of Broadcasters; President of

 









Arizona Broadcasters Association; Member, Board of Governors of the Academy of television Arts and Sciences. More recent, Lane voiced radio commercials and served as consultant with International Executives Service Corp.
