Service Learning

In service learning sections of ENG 101 and ENG 102, ASU students enrolled in service learning internships and America Reads work study positions have the opportunity to write about what they are learning through their community work in their composition assignments.

Since the line numbers for these classes do not appear in the Schedule of Classes, we request ENG 101 and ENG 102 faculty to allow service learning representatives to make 10 minute presentations in their classes each semester during the weeks before pre-registration in order to inform their students about this educational opportunity.

If you have questions about service learning composition courses or would like to schedule your service learning presentations, please contact Jan Kelly at Jan.Kelly@asu.edu.  More information about ASU’s service learning and America Reads programs is available at http://universitycollege.asu.edu/asep/index.php
