To begin, open either Netscape or Internet Explorer and go to http://www.asu.edu/emma Log in with your ASURITE Id and Password:
Now you will see the Announcements area on the right and your primary navigation on the left (I have highlighted the are in yellow):
If you click on "AFS Manager", you will see a screen like this:
The AFS Manager lets you upload/download files, delete files and organize your AFS space. You should not delete the files in your AFS space since some of them are needed for email functionality. If you just want to upload a file, scroll down to the area that says "Upload Files" then click on browse:
Find and select the file you wish to upload and click "Open." Here I have selected an Excel file but you can choose any type of file.
Now you will see the path to the file you selected, to finish click "Upload."
Now you will see that the file I selected, "English Department Personnel.xls" is indeed in my file list and Emma lets me know that the "File successfully uploaded." To download a file, you can just click on the file name or you can Right Mouse Click on the file to get Save Target As... as I have done below:
Then choose a location to save the file:
Click "Save", and you have successfully transferred a file! |
