While I really love the literature of the Victorian and Modern periods, I am especially devoted to the poetry of Yeats and the idea of metaphor. I also love teaching English 301, Writing for the Professions, and English grammar (believe it or not). I lived in Houston for most of my life where I taught high school before going to the University of New Mexico for my PhD, where I fell in love with the beauty of the Southwest. When I graduated from UNM in 2002, I taught in Alabama for a couple of years, but my husband and I really missed the turquoise skies of the Southwest, so when the opportunity to return came, we jumped at it.
We love living here with our 7 cats: Zoe, Bean, Sheba, L'il Sam, Gigi, Maximus and Tink.
