An Oregon native, I've been at Arizona State University since 1984. My undergraduate degree is in studio art. My MFA is in Fiction. I was one of the first group of teachers in ASU's Computers and Composition program, now entitled Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). I teach four classes per term, three in the computer classroom. When I'm not working with students or grading papers, I paint, ride my horse, Maggie Mae, and am finishing a novel. Another of my passions is film and film studies. One of my greatest pleasures is sharing with students my love of art and writing through my work with the Arizona Commission on the Arts. |
