I studied English and French at the Westfaelische Wilhelms-Universiaet in Muenster, Germany. After earning an M.A. in both languages, I taught English and French at the high school level for six years. In 1989, I enrolled in the doctoral program at ASU. In my dissertation, I studied the manifestation of Anglo-Saxon gift culture in Old English poetry. Since my graduation in 1994, I have enjoyed teaching various classes in composition and linguistics at ASU: ENG 101, ENG 102 (regular, Honors, and Service Learning), ENG 105, ENG 217, ENG 301, ENG 213, and ENG 413. My hobbies include spending time with my family and our dog, exercising, cooking, and reading historical fiction. |
